Charli Cohen has been dressing the multiverse since 2013, taking physical fashion into digital and in-game experiences, working with everyone from Ubisoft, to Pokémon, to Capcom.
Meshing anime-esque techwear with sharp social commentary, the CC brand has long been outspoken on dismantling the hierarchies and gate-keeping of the creative industries.
Charli’s debut drop on KnownOrigin is in collaboration with 3D artist James McDermott. In keeping with CC’s tongue-in-cheek cultural takes, each work is a commentary on Ethereum liberating society - from government autocracy (Decentralise Me), from Bitcoin dominance (The Flippening) and from FUD (Cryptomancer).
The collection features three 1 of 1 NFTs, each of which unlock an exclusive wearable Snapchat lens and a 1 of 1 Decentraland jacket for its owner.
There are also three 50 piece limited editions, each unlocking a 1 of 50 Decentraland t-shirt. On a mission to showcase the utility of NFTs beyond a wallet-brag, this experimental drop is part of Charli’s long-term work to allow anyone to take their identity (and clout) with them to any destination in the multiverse.
